With Christmas around the corner and the year well and truly wrapping up, it can be easy to get lost in the busyness and lose track of what’s truly important. Although the holidays are a time for family and togetherness, they can also be a time of stress and pressure for Kiwi’s. That’s why we were so excited when we were approached to be a part of this very special event…
Dementia Wellington invites you and your Whānau to celebrate the 80th anniversary screening of Frank Capra’s Christmas classic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ at the Embassy Theatre this December! With the proceeds from this event going to a cause that’s very close to our hearts, helping Dementia Wellington provide community-based specialised services for those experiencing dementia across the wider Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington area.
This 1946 Christmas classic will be screened at the Embassy Theatre on the 13th of December, accompanied by a fundraising afternoon tea served from 2:30pm. Seasonal tiered cake stands containing treats can be purchased to take into the theatre and you can even take your cake stand home with you!
This event isn’t just a fantastic excuse to bring your friends and Whānau together for a festive afternoon, it’s an opportunity to celebrate community at a time of year that isn’t always easy and support a cause that touches so many of our lives. We are so proud to be a part of this inaugural event and can’t wait to see some of you at the Embassy Theatre next month!
