I’m incredibly proud to be a part of a team taking sustainability seriously. From the small initiatives such as printing our property brochures on recycled paper through to our recent team tree planting session with Carbon Invoice, it’s also important to remember that little but important changes can be made at home too. Below are my five favourite products to use at home that are both effective and environmentally friendly.

You might have seen my favourite brightly coloured toilet rolls on an earlier Journal post, but they deserve a second mention! Not only are these joyful little rolls of toilet paper pretty to have in the bathroom, With Small measure, reduce and offset their emissions making them a carbon neutral organisation. I’m a big fan.

Citrus and Mint Multi Surface Cleaner
I’m a sucker for citrus scented anything, throw some mint in and I’m sold! I love the punchy fragrance that this product has, and you literally can clean any surface with it. The bottle is made from 75% recycled plastic and Earthwise is another established brand, being around for 50 years! I love their products and this one can always be found under my sink.

Grapefruit Dish Liquid
Staying with my love of citrus scents, this dishwashing liquid is my hands down favourite. The naturally derived fragrance is the cherry on top of this plant based biodegradable product and it is also ph balanced, so very kind to your hands.

I first discovered this product at my favourite hotel in Tamaki Makaurau, Hotel Britomart. This flexible lotion has such a subtle scent and soaks in nice and quick so you’re not left feeling greasy. Sans(ceuticals) are a Toitu Climate Positive business and have become a staple in my bathroom.
