Anji’s Picks: For The Home

With that middle of the year / Winter slump well and truly hitting, day to day life can start feeling like simply going through the motions. It’s around this time of the year where a little pick-me-up is well and truly justifiable. Whether it’s booking a trip to look forward to, a nice dinner out or simply treating yourself to a new candle or piece of decor for the home, we all deserve to have moments of indulgence every now and then.

For me, it can be as simple as picking up the latest Homestyle magazine on a Friday afternoon and spending the weekend flicking through the latest in New Zealand design and homewares. It’s through these magazines that I first decided to start sharing my ‘Anji’s Picks’ series here on the Journal, inspired by those aesthetically pleasing magazine edits advertising the latest home decor trends.

So, for this instalment of ‘Anji’s Picks’ I’ve curated a selection of locally sourced pieces for the home that might just inspire your next ‘treat yourself’ purchase. None of these things are essential, but they are all very beautiful, and sometimes that’s just what we need!
